There is a wonderful mixture of very striking colours in this image, which shows the remains of a wooden pier in still water, before a dark mountainside. The sky is awash with hues of sunset pinks playing among the upper clouds, against the bold blues of the sky itself. These are reflected in the water, creating a blurry palette of contrasts.
